“We used to be a bit sceptical about new-builds,” says Jess, “but living in one made us appreciate the low-maintenance lifestyle. We just wanted something that was ours where we could add personal touches and really settle down.”
Their home-buying journey truly began when they booked a spontaneous viewing at Kingswood Homes’ Spinners Brook development. “As first-time buyers, we thought the homes would be way out of our league, too big and out of our price range but there was no harm in looking,” Jess recalls.
That casual viewing changed everything.
“As soon as we walked through the show home, we just knew,” says Ketan. “It ticked every box for us- a big kitchen/living space, a cosy lounge, and a layout that worked for how we live.”

“From the moment we left the viewing, we were already planning where things would go and imagining our life there,” Jess says.

Jess agrees, also praising the aftercare: “Luke and Ben have gone above and beyond, even weeks after we moved in. Even when things went wrong on our side, they were still there helping, advising, and making sure everything was sorted.”
Small touches made a big impact. “Having a window cleaner on move-in day, a skip when we needed it, and the team keeping the road tidy every day even while building work on site continues really helped take the stress out of moving,” says Jess.
After eight weeks in their new home, the couple couldn’t be happier. “The natural light is incredible. The floor-to-ceiling windows mean the sun is always shining through which makes the house feel so bright and welcoming,” she adds.
