Hatherleigh’s Festivals of Fun

13.03.20

Buying a new home in a traditional Devon town brings many benefits.

Easy access to stunning countryside, such as Dartmoor or Exmoor National Parks, for walks in the fresh air; whiling the day away browsing the independent shops and relaxing in local tea rooms or taking the family for a day on the sand at one of Devon’s famous beaches.

Another attraction is the range of long-standing community festivals and events held across the county and where better than Hatherleigh to get involved in two of the very best and well-known?

July will see the 18th anniversary of the Hatherleigh Festival, a four-day event featuring live bands and classical recitals, open air drama performances, art exhibitions, street food and entertainment for the young and old alike.

This amazing long weekend has grown into an event not to be missed in the Devon calendar and with activities taking place all over the town there is definitely something for all tastes.

Most towns would be happy to host just one incredible event a year. Hatherleigh, however, has different ideas.

Every November sees the equally famous Hatherleigh Carnival, a magnificent display of floats created by the local community and the blazing tar barrels creating a striking feature, lighting up the night sky as they are pulled through the town’s streets.

The success of these events is down to the town’s great community spirit and there are lots of ways for people who buy a new home in Hatherleigh at The Market Quarter at Hatherleigh to get involved.

And the best bit – all this fun will just be a short stroll from your front doorstep with The Market Quarter at Hatherleigh’s town centre location.

We will be releasing details of the first houses available very soon so keep checking this website to be among the first to choose your new home in Hatherleigh.
