DOUBLE CELEBRATION FOR DANIEL AND KINGSWOOD HOMES

IT’S a double celebration for Daniel Cato after adding two top industry awards to his tool belt for overseeing construction of new homes in Blackburn.

Already the recipient of four NHBC Pride in the Job “Quality” Awards, he’s received a coveted Seal of Excellence and was named the North West regional winner in the “small builder” category of the awards, considered the Oscars for site managers.

Daniel, project manager for Kingswood Homes, based at Green Hills in Feniscowles, said: “I had all my fingers and toes crossed at the regional awards ceremony waiting to find out the results. Career wise winning the Seal of Excellence and the regional award was the best day of my life.”

Supported by two site assistants, Daniel typically oversees 80 to 100 people working on site at Green Hills.

“It’s massive kudos to the entire team and reflects the hard work everyone’s put in since I joined Kingswood 18 months ago. Everyone is buzzing,” he added.

Daniel, 29, from Fleetwood, began his career as an apprentice joiner and moved into management aged just 20. He was promoted from senior site manager to project manager earlier this year.

Construction director Stuart Bullough said: “The Seal of Excellence and regional award are fantastic accolades for Daniel and the whole Kingswood Homes team, reflecting the steps we’ve taken as a company to ensure that as the business grows, we’re delivering high standards and quality homes. These achievements demonstrate our commitment to getting the best out of the people working on our sites by making them feel part of the team and building morale. Ultimately it’s each person taking pride in what they are doing which makes all the difference.”

Kingswood hosted a celebration for the team on site in the summer.

“How we look after our contractors is key to our success and it’s important that we maintain good relationships with them by spreading the joy and acknowledging their hard work in helping us produce high quality homes.,” Stuart added.

Along with Daniel’s awards, the Green Hills team is also celebrating the Dovecote 4 show home being named a winner in the residential property category of the prestigious UK Property Awards.

The property is also a finalist for a design award in the Housebuilder Awards, which take place on November 24.

Across Green Hills there’s range of semi-detached and detached homes, with the option for buyers to use Kingswood’s market-leading ‘Shape Your Home’ concept to configure their home to suit their lifestyle by choosing from a range of different floor plans.

The next phase of the new community includes a three-bedroom property being gifted to Derian House Children’s Hospice by Kingswood Homes for the Great Big House Giveway.
