The milestone comes as the development was shortlisted for the Housing Project of the Year category of the Building Awards and as the deadline for entries in the Great Big House Giveaway looms (September 13).
As building work has progressed, Kingswood has moved out of the original sales office and show home and into a new sales centre on Cloudberry Curve.
Sales director for Kingswood Homes Lesley Myers said: “Such a response to Green Hills is incredible and illustrates the importance of the development in providing much-needed homes for the Blackburn area, along with the excitement of buyers at being able to access high-quality homes in such a stunning location.
“Green Hills is surrounded by panoramic views and countryside which includes the West Pennine Moors and Pendle Hill with sight of well-known landmarks like Hoghton Tower and Darwen Tower, while still being close to Blackburn town centre which means it offers everything homebuyers want and need.”
Lesley added: “We are delighted to be celebrating such a milestone and, with a new show home coming soon to further demonstrate the standard and flexibility of these amazing homes, we may well be looking at another one very soon.”
The award-winning development – it scooped five stars in the 2021 UK Property Awards for its Dovecote 4 show home – will eventually feature a range of properties including sought-after two-bedroom bungalows, and semi-detached and detached homes with three to six bedrooms. Kingswood will find out on November 1 if the development has won in the 2022 Building Awards.
Green Hills includes contemporary-style homes designed by HemingwayDesign and inspired by traditional Lancashire farmsteads and towns, along with more traditional looking designs to ensure it caters for a diverse mix of buyers and tastes. Future phases include the Homestead range which nods to the Georgian era popular during the peak of the town’s growth.
Kingswood’s market leading Shape Your Home concept also enables purchasers at Green Hills to choose from a range of floor options to configure their home to suit their lifestyle. Options include adding en-suites, creating fewer and therefore larger bedrooms, adding a study, or completely opening up the ground floor to provide an expansive and multi-functional family-friendly, sociable space.
Prices currently start from £282,995 for a Forge 4 detached home with three potential configurations on the ground floor and a choice of four first floor layouts using shape Your Home.
The standard layout includes a practical and elegant entrance hall offering masses of storage; dual aspect kitchen / dining area; separate lounge with double doors opening directly onto the patio bringing the outdoor in; with a WC and utility room keeping the functionality of family life hidden conveniently behind closed doors.
Upstairs, the standard layout offers three double bedrooms, one with en-suite, plus a single bedroom and family bathroom.
Green Hills is also where Kingswood has gifted a three-bedroom home to Derian House Children’s Hospice in the Great Big House Giveaway. Ticket sales close on September 13, with the winner due to be announced at a gala ball four days later.
The show home at Green Hills is open daily from 10am to 5pm.
