Now in their 19th year, the Housebuilder Awards celebrate excellence in all aspects of the sector, including in customer satisfaction, marketing, design, staff development, regeneration and sustainability.
Paul Jones, managing director at Kingswood Homes said: “In 2022 we gave away a house to Derian House Children’s Hospice in the hope of raising over £250,000 in ticket sales with the prize draw. We surpassed that and after 18 months of fundraising we raised enough to cover hospice running costs for two months.”
Over 23,000 people entered the prize draw and over 680,000 tickets were sold.
“The award win is recognition of everyone’s contribution to raising money for this amazing cause. From the site teams who built the home that we gave to the hospice to raffle off, and everyone who took part in our other fundraising activities like the “Our House” music video, the car rally and the sky dive.”
The Kingswood team and contractors hit the roads around Lancashire in cars they bought, designed and decorated taking part in a two-day rally with lots of challenges along the way, before auctioning the cars. This event raised £35,000 of the total amount.
“Helping those who need it most is a huge part of Kingswood Homes and fundraising for The Great Big House Giveaway meant we had fun while raising money to support the 400 families from across the North West who depend on the hospice.”
