NEW PHASE LAUNCHED AT GREEN HILLS

A NEW phase of homes at Green Hills in Blackburn will provide buyers with even more savings on their energy bills.

The latest phase from Kingswood’s Farmstead Range includes 64 homes that will all be built under new energy regulations meaning each home will produce significantly less carbon emissions.

All new homes built from June 2023 will have to meet new Government regulations and for a Kingswood home this includes increased insulation throughout, enhanced glazing, solar roof panels, wastewater heat recovery systems and more efficient boilers.

Lesley Myers, sales director at Kingswood Homes said: “The latest phase of homes from our Farmstead collection at Green Hills are the first to be built under the new regulations. However it’s also worth noting that all our homes at all developments are already very energy efficient which means that customers will make huge savings on their energy bills when compared with an older home.”

A new report from the Home Builders Federation* (HBF) has revealed that new build homeowners will save an average of £180 a month and £2000 a year on energy costs under Ofgem’s new price cap.

New homes use 55% less energy and emit 60% less carbon than older homes and any new homes built under the new regulations, like the homes at Kingswood’s latest phase, will emit 71% less carbon.

Lesley continues: “We’re seeing customers come to us because they are tired of paying out money on huge energy bills. It’s great that we have two collections of homes at Green Hills, the Farmstead collection and the Homestead collection, so there is something that suits everyone’s tastes.”

Homes for sale on the new phase include the Weaver 3 which is priced from £249,995. This is an ideal starter home and through Shape Your Home customers can personalise the internal layout to have either two or three-bedrooms.

Downstairs, the standard layout offers buyers a kitchen/ dining room, a utility room and W/C and a spacious lounge that opens into the garden through French doors. This can be changed to a more open-plan layout where the hallway is removed, giving owners a larger dining area.

Upstairs, the standard layout includes three-bedrooms, the main bedroom having an ensuite shower room, and a separate family bathroom. The second option is to remove the third bedroom, making the main bedroom larger and adding in wardrobes.

Kingswood Homes is also offering to pay the mortgage for 12 months of customers who reserve selected plots* in July.
